How valuable is your paper? Run it through the Turnitin Originality Check System and find out!
The Library encourages you to use this tool to verify the originality of your manuscripts and to develop good habits of academic integrity.
With just a few simple steps, you can easily complete an originality check. Then, fill out the event form for a chance to win NCHU-exclusive plush dolls and convenience store gift vouchers—making your hard work even more rewarding!

Eligibility: NCHU Faculty, staff, and students.

How to Participate:
Register a Turnitin account ➡️ Enter the event assignment folder and upload your manuscript ➡️ Generate a similarity report and obtain the “Assignment Submission ID” ➡️ Go to the event form and fill in your personal information and the “Assignment Submission ID” ➡️ Done! Wait for the draw!
Event Details:
1.For the complete process of account registration and manuscript upload, please refer to the manual "Library Class: Self-enroll Turnitin."
If you already have an account, please click "Enroll in a Class" to join the "Library Class." Do not upload your work to classes created by your department or professors.
2.Please upload original manuscripts of up to 800 pages—such as semester reports, project reports, proposals, theses/dissertations, journal articles, or monographs—to the event course assignment inbox in the Turnitin system.
The first page must be a cover page! The basic format can follow the requirements of the original submitting institution, but must include: title of the work and author name.
3.After uploading the manuscript, a “Similarity Report” will be generated within a few seconds to up to 30 minutes, depending on file size.
①Click the “Similarity Percentage Color Block” to enter the report page.
②Click the gray download icon on the right-hand toolbar.
③Click “Digital Receipt” to download the electronic receipt PDF.
④Open the receipt to obtain the “Submission ID” and the “Assignment Number.”
4.Go to the event form, fill in your personal information and the Assignment Submission ID, submit it, and you will be eligible for the lucky draw!
5.Multiple manuscripts must be uploaded to different assignment inboxes to generate different “Submission IDs.” Each assignment inbox allows up to 3 times only!

Prizes:
Grand Prize (5 winners): NCHU-exclusive graduation plush dolls (styles such as Graduation Bear, Backpack Goose, etc., randomly distributed)
Encouragement Prize (20 winners): :NT$100 convenience store gift vouchers (You can win up to 5 times—the more entries, the more chances!)
Winner Announcement: February 2, 2026 (Mon.) The list of winners will be posted on the Library website, and winners will be notified individually by email.
Prize Claim Deadline: February 26, 2026 (Thu.) before library closing time
Notes:
1.Please be sure to complete all fields in the event form and upload your own original work. Participants with wrong/incomplete information, manuscripts that do not meet event requirements, or works verified to involve plagiarism or infringement will be disqualified.
2.Uploaded documents will not be stored in the Turnitin comparison database, nor will they be used for any other purpose.
3.After the winner list is announced on the Library website, winners will be notified by email. If a winner cannot be contacted due to incorrect email or other personal information issues, the Library reserves the right to cancel the prize and select an alternate winner.
4.If the same person wins both a Grand Prize and an Encouragement Prize, only one Grand Prize will be awarded; other prizes will not be duplicated.
5.Winners must bring their student ID or faculty/staff ID to the Library Reference Desk to claim the prize before the deadline. Late claims will be considered forfeited.
6.The Library reserves the right to modify, change, or terminate this event. Any matters not covered will be subject to the Library’s interpretation.
7. Participation in this event is deemed as acknowledgment and acceptance of all event rules.
