Originality Check (Turnitin)

  • The NCHU Library's Turnitin new self-enrolling class for the 114-1 semester is open until Feb. 28, 2026.
    Access: Library Homepage → Collections → Database Search → Search "Turnitin" → Click "Class ID and Class enrollment key" (log in with SSO if off-campus) → Setting up your account to join the new class.
    The 113-2 class will close on Sept. 8, 2025.
  • Electronic Receipt Download:open the similarity report → click the gray down arrow → select "Digital Receipt."

 

What is Turnitin ?

Turnitin is an application of over 99 billion public web pages, 1.8 billion student papers, and over 89 million scholarly journals and articles.

Turnitin can:

  • Compare faculty and student works/reports/assignments with the system database.
  • Provide a similarity score (the percent found in the database) and generate a comparison report.
  • Allow authors to verify content quality before publishing.
  • Check for any missing citations in the reference pages.

Accepted File Formats

  • PDF (not encrypted, text selectable, not directly converted from Mac)
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, RTF, OpenOffice (ODT), Hangul (HWP), Google Docs, Plain Text (TXT)
  • PostScript, HTML

File Upload Restrictions

  • The file size must be less than 100 MB. If the file exceeds 100 MB, it is recommended to: (1) reduce image sizes or remove images; (2) save the PDF as a plain text file.
  • Maximum of 800 pages per document.
  • Document content must exceed 20 characters.
