The “Chinese Historical Document Database: Modern Newspaper in China, Series 1–9,” developed by the National Library of China Publishing House, contains 723 newspaper titles with a total of 2.7 million pages. The collection includes major national newspapers such as Xinhua Daily, Jing Bao, and Chen Bao, as well as significant regional papers like Beijing Yi Shi Bao, Xijing Daily, and Xinmin Bao (Hankou). The database supports title searching and full-text searching (Series 1–2), and allows browsing by newspaper title, place of publication, and date of publication.
