Originality Check (Turnitin)

Starting from the second semester of the 2017 academic year, graduates are required to complete an originality check for their dissertations before they depart from NCHU.

Before Oral Defense
1. Conduct an originality check and provide results to the defense committee for review.
2. Confirm "Thesis originality verified via comparison system" on the Result of Thesis Defense.

After Oral Defense
Finalize thesis and re-run Turnitin to originality report and Digital Receipt before uploading.

Before Graduation
NCHU master/doctoral students are required to submit your printed digital receipt to the Library in your school leaving procedure. Please fill out the full title of your thesis when you submit your paper in Turnitin.

• Authors: Register and upload with your real name to ensure it appears on the Digital Receipt.
• File: First page of your submission must be the same as the cover of your thesis.
• Download Steps:
  (1)Click the similarity % icon in your assignment folder to open the report.
  (2)Click the gray down-arrow icon on the right-side toolbar.
  (3)Select "Digital Receipt" to download your confirmation.
