Space Booking System

To foster a family-friendly and child-supportive campus environment and meet the needs of degree-seeking students bringing children under the age of 12 to the Library, the Library has established a Family Study Room to provide a space where parents can balance their learning and research needs with childcare and parent-child activities. The service is scheduled to begin its trial operation on September 7, 2026, officially. Students are encouraged to make use of the service.

👥 Eligibility

Degree students at NCHU (aged 18 and above) may bring their children aged 12 and under to use the facility together.

Discussion rooms are available for reservation through the Space Booking System.

👤👤👤For 3 or more users: Reserve Room 508.→ Check in at Room 508.
👤 | 👤👤For  1-2 users: Reserve Room 508 using the Study Room IDs (L1003, L1005),  and the operating procedures are available in the promotional video.→ Check in at the Library Service Desk. After verifying the reservation record, the on-duty staff member will accompany the user(s) to Room 508.

⚠️Terms and Conditions

• Permitted Areas: Use is limited to the Family Study Room and related facilities announced by the Library.
• Disclaimer: The Library is not responsible for childcare and cannot accept any liability.
• Administrative Authority: The Library reserves the right to adjust the reservation period as needed. In the event of any violations of Library regulations, staff may enter the room if necessary, require users to leave, and take appropriate action in accordance with the “Rules and Regulations of National Chung Hsing University Library” and “Library Rules for Reader Violations.” For serious offenses, future booking privileges may be suspended.
• Responsibility and Safety: Users must accompany and fully supervise their child(ren) at all times and ensure their safety and rights are protected. Please ensure their behavior does not disturb other readers, and remain ultimately responsible for safety. Please check and secure any loose personal items that could fall off.
• Fire Safety and Incident Reporting: Users shall become familiar with fire emergency procedures, the locations of firefighting equipment, and emergency evacuation routes. In case of an accident, emergency, or other incident, notify library staff immediately.
• Personal Belongings and Environment: The Library holds no responsibility for the safekeeping of personal belongings. Please do not leave or store personal items or equipment in the room, and keep the room clean and tidy after use. Users shall bear all liability for any accidents or damages caused thereby.
